Just need to add one more tip, Low E string does not need as much length as the post will barely hold 2 string width wraps, on the A it may be about the same or possibly 3 at a pinch, and with D & G plenty of room for 3 or more wraps. Once you get used to the 'String down the hole' method that end of a re-stringing job is so much easier and quicker.
