Yes! I made the covers from some African mahogany I had lying around from yacht projects. This is the first time they have been photographed so you didn't miss them earlier.
And yes! the quilt has popped far better that I thought it was going to. It looked very subdued and bland in the raw. If I was doing it again I could probably have afforded it a little bit more sanding/preparation even though we were worried about the thinness of the quilt but the TruOil is very forgiving. Could have done without the veneer bubbling though. I have since found plenty of comments on the web about "do not put water on the guitar, the timber loves it" and I never will. All good experience for the next one.
