Looks great buddy. Judges may mark you down for having chrome knobs rather than gold ones to keep with remainder gold hardware. If I was one of the judges I would overlook that as it is still a very stunning guitar.

For the GOTM? I don't mind. Honestly, I wasn't going to enter because the folks in GOTM build ridiculously good guitars - this is my first time, and Im just happy it sounds as good as it does. This thing is a work horse, and it's going in my main rigs.

Any one of us on this forum would be more than happy to have this axe in our collection. Sounds as good as it looks and you should be proud of your efforts.

What the others have said. It's a great first build. My OCD is saying that I'd like to see it with gold knobs as there's a slight silver/gold hardware fight going on visually at the moment (you're unlikely to get gold pole-pieces* on open humbuckers unless you spend a lot more money and go to an upmarket pickup maker), but I can picture the gold knobs in my mind and they would look nicer.

*The versatility of gold pole-pieces is that if you ever did decide to buy and fit more expensive pickups with gold-pole pieces, if you then decided you want to move those pickups over to a guitar with nickel or chrome hardware, the gold does polish off with a few rubs of metal polish leaving a bright nickel/silver shine underneath. I did this with some BareKnuckle Mules when I swapped my LP over to nickel hardware from gold. The other lesson to learn from this is that the gold finish an any hardware isn't very thick, and metal polish is a mild abrasive, so don't ever use metal polish on gold hardware if you want it to stay gold - just clean with water and a soft cloth.

Yeah I have them on order - but It's technically finished

I should have waited for them to come I guess....

For the GOTM, there's still time to post some other pictures with the gold knobs before the end of November. But I fully understand your excitement!

Great job, Depicted. I've been reading carefully your diary because I'm preparing for a proyect very similar to yours, mine will be an LP with the setneck too, so I've learned a lot of your work with yours. I hope mine would look as cool as yours. Your guitar looks amazing, congratulations
