    hey Waz I don't know much about the background of the hole in the body, could have been to feed the lead to the jack to stop it being tripped over and ejected maybe, I'll do some more research. Uploading a quick video demo now

    Got it in one Wok, drilled it many years ago to make it harder for the lead to come out. I had to look it up - I like weird things like that! It's a '57 Tele but I guess at the time he didn't know how valuable that would be or, I guess, where he would end up - so I suppose it doesn't really matter!
