before knowing I needed a 1meg pot I was just going to have a pushpull volume to do a basic split on all of them and then a 3 way switch like a LP

sure Dedman, you just have to work out which of the 4 rails of the humbucker you want turned on/off when split.

each set of 4 wires has a black, an earth and a green then 2 twisted together ( red and white) the same a most humbuckers I was going to use those as my splits all round. I think one of those super switches is looking better all the time :P

Looks like AmplifiedParts stock CTS 1M Push/Pulls. They're only SPST which limits your options, but should allow you to do a simple split. Didn't see a listing for thread length though which can be an issue when body mounting.
Scott.
So can I use just one of those to split all 3 pickups?

Hey Dedman, being a single push pull you probably have to have all of the 3 split coil wires going to one bank of pot lugs I assume. Wait for Weirdy to confirm. If it was a double push pull (DPST) then you would have 2 banks of lugs to connect to.
I'd probably look at a mini switch in between, depends if you want a more simple look

Nope Deds, SPST is single pole single throw so at best you would only be able to split one pickup. You'd need a DPDT 1M push/pull to split both.
If you want to use a 1M pot but still be able to split both pickups in various combo's without adding extra switches then a Freeway toggle switch may be your best (but expensive) option. There are two different versions but both give you six switch positions in what looks like a 3-way toggle, albeit with a bigger body.
Scott.
Thanks Weirdy. As I said it's basically 3 Humbuckers. I don't know if that switch will handle 3. I may have to add another switch.
What I want to achieve is:
treating the double bridge like a normal humbucker
treating the neck like a normal humbucker
Being able to split all of them, doesn't need to be individually
the choice of neck, bridge or all.
