Pick Ups arrived today and I only had time for a quick test but the neck one doesn't fit, I may have to undercut the route or possibly trim the base of the pick up. Interesting thing about the rear humbucker is it wired as two separate pick ups with 2 sets of 4 wires. I'm slightly tempted to one of those super switches except the cost puts me off. Wilkinson trem arrived as well, it weighs about 4 times what the kit one does with a nice steel block. Tuners are due from Adam early next week, by then I hope to have some bench space cleared and can start on this one.

no worries Dedman, can you please post the model of the pickup ? not sure why a 2 single coils would have 2 x 4 wires

The new M-Bucker™, formerly known as the Motherbucker®. A wolf in wolf's clothing.

This special Kent Armstrong® designed double dual blade pickup that actually contains four coils in one humbucker. You heard it right... two rail pickups on one humbucker plate. Wired to full capacity, this pickup is one of the loudest humbuckers available today, but it's real strength lies in its incredible variety of wiring configurations. 2 X 4 core leads.

Although this is Kent Armstrong's most versatile and lethal pickup to date, it never loses definition and note separation. Cleans up by rolling down the volume control. Recommended use with a 1 meg Vol Pot.

    Specs and Dimensions:

    - Magnet type : Ceramic
    - Resistance : 27.5K bridge
    - 2 x 4 conductor wiring
    - Includes wiring diagram, mounting screws, springs and pickup surround
    - Black

I'm using the single version in the neck

yup, kills my idea of using a push pull to split them, my have to add a mini switch . there is room in the cutout for another switch

good one Dedman, what size and shape is the control cavity ? maybe you could enlarge the cavity for a mini switch. Sounds like you will be able to get about 4000 different wiring configs with those pups ! Or there may be room between volume and 3 way switch

the cavity is the same as in a lot of the kits, same as my GD-1 and JR-1 and the EX series, basically I just want to be able to split them all so I can have single or bucker sound. .This looks like a job for .........SUPER WEIRDY!

yeah ok Dedman sounds like a tele shape cavity. Wiring shouldn't be that difficult but so many ways to split an 8 wire bucker
