    bummer, was hoping the headstock was quilted maple.

    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    That neck brace is fantastic - I love seeing things like that because one day I'll be stumped with a problem and out of the dark recesses of my mind I will hopefully recall the "Dedman solution"!

    I didn't want Wokka to cry over a painted veneer so I did a timbermate slurry on the body today . I MAY be able to do a grey dye job with a slight burst/fogged edges and save the veneer. There is a couple of glue spots but I may be able to camouflage them. Top sanded with 320, back with 220

    good stuff Dedman, I reckon you can save the quilt mate !!! There aren't many quilted maple kits available so it would be such a shame to cover up. Your next axe can be black and chrome

    some with some water. :P
    I just put some warm water in a plastic cup and scoop out a blob of putty and mash it till it's like pea soup, apply with fingers
