Hey Bro , new to this as well, while no great painter by any strectch I consider myself a Fender buff, particularly Pre CBS years, the so called golden Years 1946 to 1972, Want feedback body shapes, headstocks, etc I do know Fender used a Blonde Cellulose paint once they swapped to Ash bodies because it hightlighted the grain, prior to that they used Pine Bodies painted black. Circa 1954. Slightly later 1959 they introduced the 3 tone burst, with a white binding.The earlist had black sides on the body, around 63 they used Maroon then switched back in 64, the customs had 3 ply pickgaurds white/black/white.......
