    well Doc with about 5 build diaries you got going ? Hotrod strat, Yammy bass, bass amp upgrade, 2 x 12" guitar cab and headless axe you should get there on no time !

    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    You're right mate, I'm going to do some work on the wiring of the Yammy Bass today, maybe I could do some kind of a write-up as I'm doing the work, I'm sure there may be some other forum members who may be interested, I've got a pdf with the wiring schematic, but what I'll do is post a hand-drawn version of it, might be useful to those who are building Bass kits.

    Blast from the past there Doc as these were very popular in the 1980's.

    As for speakers, a higher rated wattage will give you a cleaner sound, not exactly what you want in a guitar amp but precisely what is required in any Bass rig. Celestion, Eminence, Jensen are all good options and some of their websites may even have sound clips to help with making a better informed choice. A lot depends on the overall tone you want as some will be more upper mid biased and that tends to be a major characteristic with Celestions that I have previously used and made it easier to hear yourself on stage without blasting the venue away with too much bottom end stage sound.
