I recently had ground loop problems in a build with 2x HB's, 2x T, 2x V; some grounds were on tone pots, others on the bridge volume pot. After researching online, I rewired so there's only one route for the ground. I reckon a star ground would be neater than the messy lump of soldered wires on my bridge volume pot, but at least I've lost that buzz.

No, Wokka, a hollow bodied starcaster from DIY. Difficult to contemplate shielding. But it sounds great, GFS gold foil pups and 50's wiring, so no need for treble bleed circuits.
I originally had a star type ground and then realized when I stuffed it all through the F hole, the ground star would be staring at me through the F hole, could have still done it, but using the bridge volume pot seemed simpler if uglier.

Well I've finally got around to finishing my Lake Placid Blue LP for my grandson. All the parts are stock except for pots, caps & bone nut. I'm very happy with the result for a beginner and am thinking of my next project (Maybe an ES-335). Here's some pixs of the finished guitar.
