Thread: Strap Button Screw fell out

  1. #11
So I am embarrassed to even write this but hopefully other people don't make the same stupid mistake as me.

About a month ago I swapped out the strap locks on this and another one of my guitars so they all had the same ones. That way I could use the same strap and swap guitars easily. I had not stood and played this guitar since then until yesterday at band practice and a bit today (when it fell). While looking for some glue today I found the old strap locks, turns out when I swapped them out, I had enjoyed one too many friday night after reports were due beverages and the screw I used was smaller than the original (not noticing this at the time). I tried re-installing the original strap locks and Success, they were nice and tight.

Moral of the story, don't give me a screwdriver after I have been drinking.
