    Looking good so far.

    Too much grain for basswood and probably Alder or more likely Paulownia as per these body samples found on the web...

    Paulownia is supposed to be a very softwood and that may also explain why it is much lighter in weight too.

    Paulownia is supposed to be a very softwood and that may also explain why it is much lighter in weight too.
    It "fluffs up" quite a bit by that i mean that even though it's ridicilously smooth sanded to 600 gritt after applyibg tye watery stain to it some of the wood fibers stand up so now it has a rough feel again.

    3 coats of "Joe's vintage amber blend" and the neck is to my liking will start tru oiling after i put the custom inlays in material should arrive in the coming days.



    Outlined the edge with another coat of black will try to sand a smooth transition tonight or tmro

    Great colour Joe, you can always go back over the edges and redo the darker areas of the burst, I normally do all the burst at the same time then you can blend the colours as you go
