Tonite I put some clearcoat over the back of the body so we'll let it rest for a day and she'll start the front soon!
The neck is 80% done - yes the inlays are in! However I decided to rather not risk the fretboard by sanding down the plastic ones I ordered(which are still in china btw) and what I did was to draw up some paint into a syringe and gently blot some paint in the holes. I will just finish it off with some clear glue once they dry.
Any help and advice on what glue would be the best to use? Thanx guys!
Oh yeah I stained the fretboard with ebony gel stain(the darkest I could find) and put sealer over that. I'm unsure if clear lacquer will be a good idea - judging by the fretboards on my Ibanez guitar and Washburn bass, it doesn't look like they were clear coated. Again any advice is more than welcome!
