Thanks again for the info Guys, most appreciated.

So, I got home and started pulling everything out, and seeing what I have, and don't have. Thankfully, it looks like everything is accounted for.
I inserted the neck into the slot again, and had a closer look at things. I have a small chunk taken out of the body here. Is this repairable? I'm thinking perhaps rounding off this section? Could that be a workable solution?

Next up, I'm assuming I will need to clean up the neck and/or the pocket to remove this small gap?

Is the fretboard supposed to be flush with the body?

Is this the correct orientation for the humbuckers? Whoops, got my noggin in the shot!!

The jack port looks to be out of whack, are these tangs(?) bent, and if so, how movable are they without breaking them?

Which is the best position of the humbucker? Assuming a perfect fit of the neck, there is some forwards and backwards adjustment of the humbucker. Should it be snug up against the fretboard, or should there be a gap?

I have all my parts separated nicely, and they should be easy enough to find.

The Mock Build looks good, and like I said before, I'm really questioning my colour choice.
This will require some more thought!!

I'll look into stringing up the E strings tomorrow night to see what I have, tonight was just an unpacking event, and wondering what the hell I have gotten myself into!

Wow dude you got an amazing spalt! The gap in the pocket depends, you 'eed to measure tha scale length it has to be exactly as far from the bottom of the nut to the center of the 12th fretwire as from the center of the 12th fretwire to the center of the bridge.

Thanks Joe, I'll be stringing it up tonight to see what I'm looking at. I've got the tutorials on here to go through with a fine tooth comb, so hopefully I have good news to show off later.

Anyone else want to chime in on my other concerns above?

Been doing some google searching, hoping to find something that will tell me that this will look like under both natural, and coloured stain.
Any votes? Keep in mind, I won't be having the stacked colour on the green!!

Hey Zandit, whatever stain colour you apply will look good, as long as the colour isn't too dark and hide the spalt grain.
I think natural will look good too. The black hardware will look great with the dark spalt lines too

Thanks Dedman & Wokka, I don't suppose you have looked through the other photos and can answer some of my questions on those?
    Thanks in advance!

Hi Zandit, I just saw your prior questions. That chunk missing on the side of the neck pocket think best you fill it with timbermate, think there is a mahogany colour available. Don't round it off as you want a sharp edge there.
To get the neck heel flush in the pocket you will need to sand either the pocket or the neck heel so it fits. Fingerboard height looks about right.
You got the humbucker rings facing the correct way. You can bend the lugs of the output jack, do it carefully but you often need to bend them so it fits through the jack hole.
With the position of the neck pup, wait till you have got the heel flush in the pocket and wait till you have done a mock build, measured distance 12th fret to both E saddles and have the neck screwed in place. Then I usually butt the ring up to the back edge of the fingerboard. Main thing is to make sure there are no parts of the cavity visible. The final position won't make much difference in sound moving it 5mm forward or 5mm backwards. Usually pick the place where it naturally sits.

Hope this answers all your other questions
