EDIT just saw pics of the GR build, coming along well, is that grain filler or faded black stain ?

I have found 320 grit orbital paper at Repco so try there or Supercheap Auto

(I added this from my last post in case you missed it

sounds good the recording and song writing.

Don't worry there will be plenty beer consumed over my weekend to celebrate 3 days off work

I've heard your local stockist of beers needs to restock lol. Thanks I'll check out supercheap Wokka. It's Timbermate would of liked it to of been blacker, next time I'll add black dye to timbermate. It'll do for now I wanted a vintage vibe softer grain might be ideal. Tried Carbatec for higher grits no joy. I know sandpaperman does 600,800,1200 but all out of stock.

yeah ok KB, the BGSFOS only stock up to 240 grit orbital paper.

Did you use ebony timbermate ? I think it will still look awesome with a lemon colour, if the grain is too dark may take away from the lemon stain a bit

Yeah it's first time I've used the ebony timbermate and it's a little grey, but as I say might be just what I need for this build the great thing about timbermate you can pretty much add any dye you like to it. I've ordered a trapeze as I hate trems. And some bits and pieces for Les Paul build. I also ordered some odd valued sprague capacitors a great place Scott recommended. The daft thing is the capacitors where $5.00 the postage was $10.00. Shame they don't stock them here. I ordered some Alnico 2 and 5 magnets too.

    sounds good KB

yeah it sucks when a product costs more to post than the product costs. When that's the case I usually stock up so price per item is less - if you get my drift hahah

The strange thing is as soon as I put sale through I found a variety of other things I needed typical huh . Yeah I know exactly what you mean Woks. Can you please give me the definitive answer as to who's leading who astray. Is it you leading DB or DB leading you. Cause talking to you both you say the opposite. You pair of booze heads lol.

haha this thread has gone right off topic. I will say DB leads me astray but when he heads over for 4D Friday nights (FDFN) he will say myself and Wayne lead him astray.

I know the feeling about placing an online order and forgetting a few small items

    Woks and Popeye are amateurs..
Every time I go to Woks, Popeye passes out before 10pm... 😂

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....
