    get your jeweler in residence to carve them from some hard green plastic, then you can carve the shape into the fretboard with a Dremel tool. Provided the center of leaf is bigger than the existing dot there would be no filling. Of course I'm telling you how to do this with out ever having done it myself so feel free to tell me to shut up

    I love the idea and we have the tools it's just that the mere thought of cutting into the fretboard makes my funky bits cringe in fear.
