That's usually one of the first things I do, more often then not I have found that I get a message saying that a newer driver could not be found and that I already have the best driver installed, incidentally, one of my pet peeves when downloading/installing drivers on a computer, just after doing a clean install of the OS, is the dreaded Unknown Device in Device Manager in Windows Control Panel.
