    If you gave some Hide glue, you could thicken it slightly and squeeze some glue underneath there. Some might try tell you that if you do not do that the fretboard could warp there. Not sure they are right. I think you could leave it as is without concerns.

    I'm not too worried like I said my js32tq has a gap there that's even bigger and the action on that guitar is absolutely drop dead amazing (low) especially considdering it's a budget range.
