You'd need a 400 sigg Texas instrument pci card then Doc as sometimes the Adapter cables to convert 800 to 400 cause errors. They are supposedly backward compatible but do occasionally cause problems. https://www.soundonsound.com/sos/feb...s/qa0208_4.htm

Cheers, I'll see if there are any of those for sale on eBay, all the Firewire Ports on my Desktop DAW PC use VIA Chipsets, when I plug both my Firewire Audio Interfaces it them, they are recogised ad they seem to work fine for a while, then one day they start going a bit glitchy for no apparent reason, sometimes re-starting my DAW PC fixes it, do you reckon that it could well be the VIA Chipsets acting up?

I just found this PCI card on eBay, it uses a Texas Instruments Chipset:

Only problem is, low-profile PCI cards won't fit in my DAW PC's case.

I've got Windows 10's power options set to high performance on my Desktop DAW PC, I did that because it didn't really make any sense to have power saving turned-on given that my DAW PC doesn't run on batteries and is always plugged in.

One thing I will have to invest in soon is a new 1200Watt UPS to protect my DAW PC in the event of a power blackout, my current UPS is a 600Watt and isn't working, only the 240V AC power filtering is working.

The Sybas are supposed to be pretty good as long as it's a genuine chipset you should be fine Doc. Just watch postage you can get ripped off.

Cheers mate, will do, I found a few more SIIG PCI Firewire 400 Cards on eBay:

Eventually, what I would love to be able to do is use both of my Firewire Audio Interfaces at the same time with my DAW PC and Software so I have more usable mic/line ins, both of my Firewire Audio Interfaces have Optical ins and outs.

FL Studio 12.2 Producer Edition (32 and 64Bit).

Ableton Live 9.6 Standard (32 Bit).

    Reaper 5.18 (32Bit).

    Reason 5 (32Bit).
