I would tend to listen to Tony.
Having said that I have done it, but the surrounds I made were rather large and the mags were about 30mm away and I did shield it.

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

But you never know unless you experiment, moving the poles facing and away from each other, strength of magnets, the rare earths being really strong, you may create something unique, and you will never know unless you try it.

I'm sure I mentioned this here before, but the best "acoustic guitar" sound I've ever recorded was a Rode condenser in front of the Dano.

Rodes are great on Acoustics and some vocals. What rode do you have Fretworn. I have and use the Rode Nt1-a which I had modded by a guy called Mike Joley.

I wish it was mine, it belongs to a mate. It is a large diaphragm condenser but I don't know which type.

Hey Fretworn you know you could buy an Mxl 910 microphone http://www.ebay.com/itm/MXL-910-Voic...rmFUE2b7RkmaFw then mod it yourself with this kit http://microphone-parts.com/collecti...mp-v57-pcb-kit it sound better than the rode by far. Then at later date you can change the capsule. You'll have a mic that sounds better and would be at home in any studio in the world.
