I think it was in Rolling Stone or the likes Wok. Probably the most humble man to play guitar was Rory, even Brian May pinched his sound.

Update:
Last night I did a full build of my Strat so I could get it set up in order to do a demo clip, I let the guitar settle in during the night, I managed to get the intonation dialed-in pretty well, the bridge set so that it floated to enable pull-ups on the trem-bar, and after I installed the bone nut, I used my set of nut-slot files, a X10 magnifier, and a set of Feeler-Gauges to get my 1st Fret action down to .020 inch, the action at the 17th Fret is an even 2.5mm for each string, each pickup height was set to Fender specs for Noiseless pickups, oh and the neck relief is set to .010 inch at the 8th fret, I'm getting very little fret-buzz up and down the neck, the three Entwistle ASN57 pickups are sounding really nice and I am liking them alot.
I found that I didn't need to install any string-trees on the headstock with the Gold Grover Mini-lockers I have used, here's a pic of the guitar as it is now, built up and playable:
One thing I did notice was that the nut-slots seemed a bit too narrow for the 42-09 Gauge strings I used to string the guitar, because of this I'm experiencing tuning issues due to friction in the nut-slots, applying some Big Bends Nut Sauce Lubricant doesn't seem to help much, some strings go a bit sharp and others go a bit flat.
I have swapped out the Gold Strap buttons for a couple of Ernie Ball Strap Locks.
I must add that this doesn't mean that the build process has ended, this guitar can be regarded as a work in progress.

Outstanding Fella! Brilliant job mate. how does it feel to play?
It feels pretty good to play the way it's set up, fretting chords down near the 1st Fret is pretty easy, Barre Chords are pretty easy to fret too, I'm liking the feel of the neck cause it feels pretty substantial, a bit like the necks on Fenders Standard-Strat models, all pickup settings get that Strat twang, or Quack, the Vitamin Q Tone Cap I used sounds good.
It seems to like clean-ish sounds the most, it sounds good through my Boss BD-2 Blues Driver set to give a hint of breakup.
I'll see if I can post some pics so you can see how I've got the action and the bridge set on my Strat shortly.

Okay, here's some pics so you can see how I have set the action and the bridge on my Strat:
Here's the action at the 1st Fret, it's only .020 inch between the top of the 1st Fret and the bottom of the string for each string:
Here's the action at the 17th fret, I have set it to an even 2.5mm for each string:
And here's how I have set the bridge, tilted forward rather than flat against the body:
Setting the bridge so that it tilts forward is how Leo Fender intended the bridge to be set up, the gap between the end of the bridge and the body should be about 1/8th of an inch as per fender specs.
Of course, you don't necessarily have to stick to Fender Specs.
I know, some of the pics are a bit out of focus, I need to find out if the auto-focusing on my camera can be switched to manual.
Update:
Just found out that my camera does have a macro mode, so I'll see if I can take some better pics with it enabled.
Update:
Enabling Macro-Mode didn't seem to make much difference, oh well, at least I tried anyway.

I'm happy to do a reality tv show haha!
I'm a bit slow on the up keep of this thread! Been busy learning - West end Riot by The Living End! Good job on smashing my thread length Doc! I might just have to include my 2nd build on the back end of my original thread, is that legal?! Haha nah I will start from scratch again on that!
