    hey Johnny the scroll saw will be fine to cut the pickguard to size

    I actually use a bandsaw with care to cut the pickguard or a scroll saw !
    Current Builds and status
    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    I got an idea from a guitar builder... he uses thin Wood or veneer to make a plate like the one I have in plastic. That should be easier to cut than plastic and probably look better.

    Decided to paint the back and edges of the guitar glossy black.... so I put so far 4 layers of primer on the back of the guitar!

    Next step... sanding and sanding... and probably more primer... and then get ready to the glossy black!
