    Yeah thats another $100 to set that up, then go out and buy wax, its a good setup though, and i thought that one out myself.

    nice tutorial Tony, it is probably easy to you who have been doing it for years. Sure there is so much to learn winding your own pickups and learning from mistakes the hard way on the way !

    Its a thinking mans game the old pickups, and i do wiring as well so icop it from both directions lol. You get asked for some radical moves thats for sure, sometimes the best is looking you in the eye, with all this over wound under wound, scooped mids etc etc, with over wind you get more bottom, with an underwind you get more tops, to scoop the mids use different magnets combinations etc etc, i just like to be up front and if someone doesnt like my wind they can give it back and i will refund the bucks or wind another differently.

    People say they want to hear this and that, once we leave the domain of the guitar we are into the leads then the effects then the amps, there is alot of variables make up a sound.

    All this and i havent even charged up the CNC winder in earnest.

    There are some mean tricks i can pull with that baby once i get my head around the software properly.
