It's okay I'm still alive...lol, was just waiting for the intensifier coat on the strat body to finish drying so I thought I would leave it alone, funnily enough I haven't had any problems with airborne particles being attracted to the DT finish at all, surprising considering my place can get a bit dusty, and there are a few cobwebs in my bedroom where I was working on the guitar, maybe I was just lucky, I dunno.

My two cats don't really shed much of their fur, since they are always grooming themselves.

I may consider doing some more work on the Strat body this afternoon.

    Update:

I have sanded the Strat body to 400 Grit sandpaper and have applied the first coat of DT CG Final Coat and the body looks awesome, well it does to me, due to the sanding the body may look a bit lighter in colour but seeing as I actually like it the way it is I'm going to roll with it, here's some more pics for you to check out:

Here's what the body looked like after sanding to 400 Grit:

Yep, lost a bit of colour through sanding but that top coat has brought a lot of it back.

    Looks good.

Take your time buddy as this is the point where it all went wrong for me and hope that DT MkII works out better for you than MkI did for me.

No worries mate, thanks for that, I'll make sure I do take my time, I've got the body hanging up on it's coathanger hook at the moment.

    Update:

The Strat body seems to be almost dry, so later on this evening I might apply another coat of DT CG Final Coat.

Hey doc I haven't used DT mk2 but from memory I thought it was more like 3 days between top coats? If that's changed from mk1 then go for it but if 3days min drying time is recommended then I'd be going with it regardless of how dry it feels. I'm only on my 2nd build but the one thing I've learned is its better to wait otherwise tears and many superlatives will follow!
