Lol...I was just about to send out a search party too...so they could look for me, getting myself lost is probably my best talent....hahahaha....

I've had lots of people tell me that I have alot of patience, since I've got both my Ibby and LP Studio back from my mate's place it really doesn't matter how long it takes to finish the Strat.

I'm so good at getting myself lost that I'd give a Magnetic Compass a nervous breakdown.

The Credit Union I'm with has been the same.... select Credit, and you don't get charged $1 for each EFTPOS transaction. There are some merchants, usually with a higher sale price at the checkout, who do charge that extra percent fee, though I don't come across them too often.

And, Doc, good that you've got your other guitars there, so you can let the CG slowly dry.

With merchant fee surcharges not all retail outlets set the same threshold before it kicks in. For example tap n go is up to $100 at supermarkets, at places like DB's not so favourite BGSFOS, and so forth. Once you trip the 'floor limit' merchant fees can be applied and sometimes without warning. Best to select Chq or Savings to be on the safe side.

Maybe Bendigo absorb this for their customers which is pretty rare for any financial institution as they are heavily reliant on fee based income to drive bottom line profits. CBA, NAB, ANZ, Westpac and others could not post such record profits with out passing on all the various fees and charges hence why they do it and don't give a damn.

I'll have to check my credit union statements... haven't done that for some time, I admit!
It used to be the case you could get X amount of free EFTPOS transactions per month, then you were charged $1 per transaction. Maybe that has changed in the last decade as we're becoming a cashless society?

I have a feeling that Bendigo does absorb a lot of charges.
Unlike the big four, they are community minded and actually value their customers..
How many other banks give you a call wishing you a merry xmas??

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

I really don't understand why people still go to the big 4. I was with the yellow and black bastards and moved to Heritage. No regrets, they're great.

I've also heard good things about Bendigo and Bank Of Queensland too. Small banks offer so much more AND a cheaper mortgage.

Why give your money to the big 4???

Did you know in most countries it's illegal to hold money done by electronic transfer over the weekend and holidays? I asked once why the computers got the weekend and holidays off and just got a dirty look. Think about how much interest they got on all the money "in limbo" over the 4 day xmas break......
