I sanded the neck down again and then stained with orange. Then came the Tung Oil, eight coats. But I didn't like the sheen it gave so I switched to Tru Oil which gave a better shine. And the effect on the neck was just what I was looking for. Click image for larger version.

I didn't like the black scratch guard or truss cover so I purchased some stuff and made my own. Added a decal to the scratch plate and the neck and things are starting to look okay Click image for larger version.

The bees and paraffin wax arrived today so Ill be doing the pots and then starting the wiring. I decided to bin the supplied wiring and go for silver braided shield, Cloth covered wire which will help to reduce hum. A friend of mind said if the bees wax stops humming does it produce Buzzing!!!
