    good move Andrew, you will never regret a fretless bass. If you get the fret puller all you need is the correct width binding, some super glue and sand paper. DB helped me remove the frets on my IB5 (should have seen the smile on his face) and put in the first dozen or so fret markers (binding) in the slots and I did the rest. Also helps to have the correct width fret saw to clean out the slots before you glue the binding in.
    I still must file down the height of the bone nut !
