    My first Pitbull JR-1DC

    Hi everybody,
Now this is my first Pitbull kit I have purchased. For Christmas 2014 I brought my son a LP kit from another Australian Kit site. My son Patrick and I proceeded to build this over the Christmas break and this is how it finished up.

After building this fine looking axe we were hooked so I looked around for a LP Junior and came across Pitbull Guitars.
It has now been about three weeks since I started sanding the bejesus out of it...sanding, sanding and more sanding down to 240 as recommended by Wudtone.
I got some Carmine Gypsy as the main colour and a bottle of Hot Auburn.
The back and neck of the guitar are Carmine Gypsy and for the front I have combined the Carmine Gypsy with the hot Auburn for a subtle burst effect. It didn't quite work out the way I had expected but looks spectacular anyway.
These are images of the front and back of the body after the final coats of Wutone:

I am about to start the many coats of Tru-Oil.

I have decided to mod out this guitar. I have ordered a Bare Knuckles "Supermassive" P90 and asked Shaun Fricker of www.guitarsauce.com.au to make me a custom wiring harness for my Junior. It has two Mojo Dijon caps, a 22uf and a 47uf cap. It has a push/pull volume pot. It the down (normal) position the signal goes through the 22uf and in the up position goes through the 47uf capacitor. A virtual neck pickup.

    Simon
