Nearly there with this build. Awaiting a righty bone nut from PBG coz I was sent a lefty by accident.
Other than that minor detail I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of next week!Click image for larger version.

    The guitar looks awesome, DD.
I'm sure this question will show my absolute lack of knowledge of kit building, but...... what's the difference between a right and left handed nut? Wouldn't you just turn it 180 degrees? Or is there some other bevelling of the faces that I'm missing? the pastic one on my tele kit looks pretty square all around.

Amazing 335 dude. A really beautiful finish you've achieved. Great job.

    Cheers,
    Gav.

Hey Peter I wish it was as easy as flipping but its beveled on the headstock side. The plastic ones are square but bone nuts that DB makes have a bevel.

You'd think so, but the grooves in the nut are all cut at different widths to suit different gauge strings. Normally you will find that the headstock side of the nut will be bevelled or curved to provide a smooth curve for the strings to go over as they run down to the tuner stems. The fretboard side will be more or less straight up and down. Plastic nuts are less defined as they are generally moulded to shape, whereas a good bone nut, or a graphite nut will be hand shaped to preference.

DB has a good thread on this going in the "DB's Corner" section of the forum

Edit: he says, coming late to the party!

I'll add my gaping jaw to the list of accolades for that finish, very impressive darthdamo.

Hopefully DB has now sent the correct nut and you can get this one finished for our April Guitar of the Month comp.
    Cheers,

    Adam

with the quilting and the shine, this burst looks better than my Epiphone Casino and I love that guitar. You've done an absolutely wonderful job with this Damo. Great Work!
