I couldn't go past one of these kits in Dec for my birthday. I've been working on it since every now and again.
Started with body contouring and headstock shaping. Once I got the contours right. Lots and lots of sanding!

In my sanding travels I noticed that the two piece body was curved.
I flattened that out with my mates belt sander

I wanted to try to start doing some spray bursts. Bought this el cheapo spray brush from bunnings and compressor. Already had some colortone stains ready to rock.
After a number of failed tests, I settled for a mixture of stain, lacquer thinner, method and shellac.
