    Build #2 To soon??? DJZ-4

So about 8 beers one night during the week and my tax finally done from last year I seem to have a zebra bass with rosewood fretboard and black hardware on its way!!! Hmmm.... better start thinking about what to do with it. And maybe think about learning how to play one.

    Define “Too Soon”?
Five years ago about now, I hadn’t yet put stain on my first build, and I’d ordered my second and third as well as started pulling apart my original FrankenWashie. I am know knee deep in timber, tools and partially built/disassembled kits and scratch builds. I should really tidy up.

Too soon... could be “bought one without knowing how to play one”. Really is starting with the basics I guess - if you build it ... or something like that?

I had exactly the same with my Ib-5 build. Bought a bass, never played one!

Apparently playing bass is as easy as falling off the beat....

I'm still trying to work why there are 4 strings on there... I only need the top 2!!!

Sounding better and better. I seriously considered either of the "ib" bass guitars, but when the better half looked over my shoulder and said "hey you could do something different with that one with the grain" I guess my mind was made up.

ID:	39916 Got some time to get a start on build 2 over the last couple days. Still looking for a bit of grain “feel” to be there but with a nice glossy finish. Completely undecided on headstock design at the moment.

I have the zebra p bass. I went the black hardware...and I have to say the black tuners are a huge let down. I hope you did better in your colour choice.
