Just starting my build diary. Trying to build a left handed telecaster from the DIY kits. Does anybody have any suggestions on where to start? I got all the tools ready.

If you haven't done so already, read a few of the telecaster build diaries, then try a dry setup.
Build #1, failed solid body 6 string using neck from a scrapped acoustic (45+ odd years ago as a teenager!)
Build #2, ugly parlour semi with scratch built body and ex Peavey neck
Build #3, Appalachian Dulcimer from EMS kit
    Build #4, pre-owned PB ESB-4
    Build #5, Lockdown Mandolin
Build #6, Sixty six body for Squier
    Build #7, Mini Midi Bass

    What JimC said.
Also look at the guides page at Pitbull - https://www.pitbullguitars.com/guides/
And get the Pitbull instruction manual - https://www.pitbullguitars.com/instruction-manual/. It is a substantial guide to building.
Good to see another lefty. The tele is a fairly straightforward build. The 12 string tele is not presenting too many challenges to me at the moment.
