    First build JZ-6 Baritone

Hello all. This forum was actually a big part of why I ordered a pitbull from the other side of the planet. So thanks for having me.

It got here Dec 22nd, so Adam and crew did a great job getting it out the door and communicated well.
First review of everything looks great. I'm happily surprised with how well everything is drilled, cut, finished. Nice timber. I'll be taking my time and posting here.

First test build just to make sure all the parts are here.

I'm so torn on finish. I really like deep red tint, with brown grain, but it would be a trick not to have it clash with the red pickguard. Black paint looks really good with it, but looking at the wood I think I want to show it. Maybe just a black, then brown stain to get the grain to stand out a bit then tru- oil or even Shellac.

Hell yeah, I hear this 100% Hoodlum, and by the looks of it, we both ordered the same time and sold ‘em right out.

I’ll be posting progress too, and I absolutely agree, this community is why I went with pitbull!

Straight tru-oil on an ash body is a nice light brown IMO - A bit like the explorer shown here:https://www.buildyourownguitar.com.a...176#post218176
