Guitar and Bass Cases are making a comeback!

Folks, I've been trying to fill the shelves again with everything that the store should have again since I bought the place, and I'm happy to say that Cases are finally going to be back on the menu!

The main reason I didn't buy any earlier is that AusPost eParcel refuse to send them anymore, as they're an "oversized item" now - 105cm is the longest an eParcel package can be, and these are 110-115cm. However, I've found some couriers that are willing to transport around Australia for a reasonable fee - DHL Domestic wanted around $300, and StarTrack was about $500!

The new courier service usually takes 9-10 days, and can take a few days to organise, so please allow a couple of weeks for delivery.

Any questions/comments on these cases, or recommendations etc. please sing out, I'm here for all of you.

Also, I've only ordered 6 each of the bass, guitar and hollow-body cases, if people are crying out for them, I can for sure order more.

    Bass - 1220x390x100mm
    Guitar - 1060x370x100mm
    Hollow Body Guitar - 1150x450x150mm

    Cheers all, keep on rockin'
    - Tbo

Too bad I don't live closer. I have never, ever, completed a build in 2 weeks so that would be plenty fast enough for me!

I have, once… my IB-6S went together in 13 days from unboxing to playing. Just oiled and clear-coated with polyurethane and it was beautiful, just as it is! But, to be fair, I wanted a timber-grain look in the clear, I didn’t want a mirror finish.

As far as international shipping goes for these cases, I’ll have to see what DHL would charge.. I’m guessing it’s probably not that much more than what they charge for kits, which isn’t cheap, but they are so reliable and fast I’m sure most people don’t mind.

I’m thinking of making the case a purchase-with-kit option though… so they’d be sent at the same time. That way you’d at least save on the shipping cost of the kit.

A kit with a case seems a great option.
