    And 1!

So, there should be lots of builds on the way!

I also think there is more than one of each.

Item No.7 arrived this morning, the financial manager was not amused.

Haven't unboxed it yet but will do later today once urgent stuff like taking the dog to the beauty parlor is taken care of

Will be looking forward to the build diary ;-) I have received my authorization. Got to make the order before she changes her mind!

I'm impressed with the finish of the fretboard & frets, after a quick check the neck is nice and straight, frets are well seated and the fret ends are nicely finished.

Neck is bound and the body triple bound, BONUS

I do wish this offer was in late August last year so I something to do after breaking my back or late July this year when I had a hip replacement, would have given me something to do wile semi incapacitated.

The back was as a result of a high speed race crash and the hip was the car paying me back for crashing it

That is good to hear. Hoping to having similar luck!

Glad you are in recovery. Judging by what I hear on your signature URL, it sounds like you found something to do. You certainly live an adventurous life. Stay safe for this build!

You know...I have some hip, back and heel problems as well. What I am realizing I don't have is as good a story about how I acquired them. Will need to work on that ;-)

#5 arrived today. I got the invoice and sent Paypal a "yes please" on Tuesday. I was very impressed when DHL said it would arrive next Monday and sort of amazed when I got a text this morning saying it was out for delivery. Four days from Perth to Miami. Literally about as far as you can go without leaving the planet. The packing job was also great. Nothing loose. Everything well padded and secured.

It's a lovely looking kit as well. Body and neck are bound, and the latter fits the former snugly. It also came with cool gold hardware. I have never considered using gold hardware before...but now that I have seen it... #5 is solid mahogany--no veneer, which is something I have wanted. I am really good at sanding right through veneer. Maybe because I also like to be able to go after glue spots and other minor flaws with sandpaper and impunity. I also like the ebony board.

I have a Tele and a Jazz bass project ahead of it in the cue, but will open a build diary when I get around to it. In the meantime, fast service, well packed, and a really nice kit inside. Don't know what more you could ask for ;-)

Sounds nice, and 4 days is excellent! I was impressed with mine getting to me in 2 days - though the warehouse is only about 20 km away!

Out of the blue while browsing TDPRI (Telecaster Forum) I discovered that there is a mob in Canada selling various styles of unmentionable kits complete with the paddle cut to look dangerously close to that of the unmentionable.

They also have other styles and none of them are cheap, you could probably buy a Squier for example for less although not a CV

Yeah, that Nashville company seems highly selective about who they pick on. They seem to have a nasty propensity for going after the little guy. Love the sound of their guitars from the three Kings (BB, Albert and Freddy), to Alvin Lee, Angus Young, Billy Gibson, John Fogarty, Peter Frampton...and so many more. No love lost for the current company.
