They definitely make a lot of sense to me, they're a recommended upgrade for all Telecasters.
Later on this year, I'm going to upgrade the stock pickups to my current favorite single-coils, Tonerider Hot Classics, the stock string saddles do look a bit cruddy under a magnifying glass, so I'll...
Cheers mate!!, I think I got lucky with it, it's definitely a keeper.
I did have some trouble with the output jack being a bit lose and intermittent yesterday but I managed to fix the intermittent-ness so that the output didn't keep dropping out, I couldn't really do...
Here's another pic of the Mexican Telecaster, I took the pic after I had let the guitar settle in overnight, I think I got the setup pretty much where I want it to be, it's set up according to the...
Update:
Just finished doing a general setup of my Mexican Telecaster to get it in the ballpark, and I gave it a test-play through my Digitech RP50 FX processor pedal, and all I can say is....man,...
Cheers mate, yeah she's a nice one, I think she is the closest I'll ever get to owning a real Fender Telecaster since the USA made ones are not that much different, same woods and manufacturing...
Hey Everyone,
Well, I can definitely say that I have been well and truly bitten by the G.A.S. (Guitar Acquisition Syndrome) bug today, so I guess you're wondering what I've gone and bought...
Hey Everyone,
Recently, my red Jim Dunlop JD-F2 Fuzz Face died and stopped working while I was in the process of doing some re-organizing of my pedal board so I could add my Boss MT-2 Metalzone...
Hey everyone,
Got a new DIY project added to my list of projects for 2019, it's a complete re-build of my old Yamaha CS15D analog synthesizer, but I'm adding-in a few twists to expand the range of...
My Fender Super Twin amp is still going strong, I've estimated it to be around 1975 or 1976 vintage, I just finished work on building a new footswitch for my 160 Watt Peavey Renown solid state amp,...
Update:
Managed to get a fair bit work done on building the new footswitch, got all the mounting holes in the diecast Aluminium case drilled, everything seems to fit, drew up a circuit diagram for...
Update:
Okay, so I decided to do some work on the Peavey Renown amp chassis today, this involves removing the original DIN Footswitch and replacing it with a new one that accepts the metal 8-pin...
The Sleeve connection is actually the one to the left of the middle one, the middle one is the ring connection, shouldn't make much difference though since the middle and left connection get shorted...
Happy New Year to you too Adam, and all the staff at Pitbull Guitars, hope 2019 turns out awesome for all of us.
So, basically like the finish on the body of my custom Telecaster then?

Yep I agree, Adam is awesome, we should all get together and get him something to show our appreciation.
I agree with Dave.king1, have a really close look at the circuit board tracks that connect to the solder-pads on the DC socket's solder terminals, use a X5 or X10 magnifying glass, I bet the crack is...
There's nothing stopping you from putting orange drops in your Wah if that's what you want to do, yeah you can get those resistors from Jaycar, they sell packs of 300 1% metal film resistors in...
You can use either a 1M or a 2M2 resistor, it won't make much of a difference other than getting rid of the pop, those 1W metal film resistors will work, the resistor can even be a 1/4 Watt 5% carbon...
In some cases it may be fixable like for example if the footswitch is a 3PDT but only two of the poles have been used, you can just simply solder the wires from the faulty pole onto the unused but...
Yep, you should still be able to do continuity tests with the switch wired up, some of the 3PDT footswitches I've used have ended up with loose solder terminals after I took too long soldering wires...
If one pole of the footswitch is used to switch the indicator led on and off, then it's possible that there might be some bad contacts in the footswitch that's causing the led to be constantly...
Finally found my Jim Dunlop Crybaby pedal, so here's a couple of pics of the internals:

Here's a tip, if the stock SPDT (single-pole double-throw) footswitch ever goes...
I was thinking of basing the design on some potted modules you can buy from Jaycar Electronics, there's a few other designs I could think of too, maybe what I could do in this thread is present a few...
