this is a build from Wayne aka Popeye's bro in law Rozza, it's his second build, his first build was a green strat with the same 22mm hole aka Francis Rossi from Status Quo. Stain was popped with a black stain then DT uluru red went over. Tonerider pups and Gotoh bridge and tuners, needs bit of a setup but sounds good early days

I love the colour combo! The head stock shape is not to my liking, but it's not my guitar, so who am I to judge!!

Too lazy to google Francis Rossi to find out more about the 22mm hole and wondered if you cared to enlighten us please?
hey Waz I don't know much about the background of the hole in the body, could have been to feed the lead to the jack to stop it being tripped over and ejected maybe, I'll do some more research. Uploading a quick video demo now
Got it in one Wok, drilled it many years ago to make it harder for the lead to come out. I had to look it up - I like weird things like that! It's a '57 Tele but I guess at the time he didn't know how valuable that would be or, I guess, where he would end up - so I suppose it doesn't really matter!Quote:
