welcome JBird, there are two other Mosrite builds a couple. Is yours basswood or ash ? What are the colour plans Ramone white ?
Welcome to the forum! Another Mosrite build they are getting very popular. Looking forward to seeing this build come together esp with the P90's

Yeah me and the missus are building one each at the minute. Just at the painting stage. Welcome to the forum and good luck with everything. If you need to know anything just search for it or ask on here, you will get plenty of sage answers from these bunch of nutters ;)
And Mosrite's are getting popular because the copies are OK but theyre at least £500, and the originals are at least £2000 basic.
F*** it make your own ;) that's the punk way!
Welcome JBird! Great to see another Mossy build. I'm doing my second at the moment. Great kit IMO. I'm also adding p90s to mine. Really interested to see what you do with it and how she sounds at them end.
cheers,
Gav.

well done Jbird you got the P90's fit into the pickguard and love your headstock logos and play of words
I used one of the p90s as a stencil and used a dremel to route it out its not super clean but it fits and has that classic punk feel

as long as you can raise the level of the pups all good which I'm sure you can. What's the paint plans or stain ?
I hate to use the word relic but... a relic'd white

cool should look great. DB has a good method to relic guitars tie the body to a bike and go for a ride around the block haha
looking good jbird, and love the logo

Its a solid white poplar body that I dragged across the sidewalk and then used a red chalk style paint with a dirty wax finish on the body and the maple neck

Makes me wonder why I am fussing about trying to get the finish right on my EX-5!
Stuff it, if I cannot get the final clears to work out fine I might just have to relic it instead.
Only joking folks as I am an extreme OCD perfectionist and first time using DT and doing this sort of thing is driving me nuts. Better book some time off work in the New Year for some therapy sessions. Hope they have plenty of Beer & Bourbon on hand ha ha.
Haha yeah I'm usually really meticulous about the finish but my buddy wanted it rough and aged...

long time no see Jbird...those acoustics been keeping you busy?
Always!!!! Had a lot going on personally as well
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
Attachment 9445 I am not very good with wiring so I'm doing what I can to make this one nice
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
getting there JBird, be worth putting copper shielding on the bottom of the pickguard, or at least run an earth wire between your tone and volume pots - solder to the back of the pot casings.
You also have to earth the volume lug to the back of the casing, the lug closest to the jack.
You probably haven't got to this yet !
I plan on grounding it all just haven't go all the way through it yet
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
no worries JBird thought that might be the case
So wiring sucks!!!! I can't figure out why I get no sound except for a loud buzz when I touch the screws holding the pups to the body or the 3 way switch... its frustrating the hell outta me!
