Thought i would experiment a few new construction ideas..

Orr hell yes!! I actually had something very similar in mind for my first scratch build (whenever that may be)
Is this a neck through DB?
nice work DB, I saw this in progress last Friday at the man cave, looks like you have done some shaping of the neck.
@ Barge, yes its a neck through build
That's awesome mate. Would love to do a scratchy one day. Can't wait to see it progress.
super cool DB, need more pics of the neck through setup
well Stan if you spent more time in the naughty room you would see it first hand !
Looking forward to this one DB. Love the explorer shape and it's high on my want list.
Cheers,
Gav.
where u been hiding GT, don't tell me you have been working instead of building ? WTF ? hahah
Thunderbirds are GO. Such a cool shape. I predict another enviable guitar evolving here.
Looking great DB!
And the Grand Master starts another master piece. Looks fantastic DB , keeping my eye on this progress for education.
A bit more progress.....
The other day when Mr Tim was here getting the speed humps ripped out of a Bass neck, we had a joke about dropping a third pup on board.....
Well, today when i routed the bridge pup hole I screwed up... Wrong place!
Workaround?
Enlarge rout out and drop another pup in :)
A Thunderbird should roar, and I think that this baby will do just that.....

love the control panel DB
Cheers Jman.
Still working on getting the whole side control setup thingy right... Hoping this time I nailed it :)
Next step is to hide the tone control, I think you will like the concept I have in mind for this.................
what a beast - awesome. That inset control setup looks great
How are you planning to do the electronics? Are you going to wire those pups together to create a series sound? What are you going to do about output levels on neck vs bridge?
nice workaround DB, I thought you thought 3 pickups was too many ? haha
should roar like thunder this beast !
Yep, normally i would say three is one too many but i had to find a workaround so three it is.....
The bridge pups will be in series but with a funky coil split set up....
sounds like a cool setup DB, have you got a wiring diagram sorted or is the electronics guru Weirdy helping you out ?
