nice one DK, I got a set of 52 spec tele pups for my baritone tele, can't wait to hear how they sound.
which tele are the blackguard pups going in and is the lap steel existing or a new build ?

He was going to sell it and buy a Fender and I told him it's only a bit of 4x2 hardwood regardless of who makes it so let's change the pup first before you waste your pension on something that may not be betterQuote:

The current P90 has a really flabby bottom end and no real clarity across the strings, Tony's original suggestion was a split coil bucker but I don't want to have to mod the lappy unless absolutely necessary.
The wind of new P90 should open the articulation up and tighten the bottom end which is all he wants
The 52 Tele pups are now in place and are brilliant, very articulate and much more responsive.
That was with the old strings, will be fitting a new set of 10s before rehearsals tonight.
If the P90 is half as good in my mates lap steel he is going to be very happy
