This is the view that greeted tonight me after stopping to grab a special coffee for my wife at Bulcock Beach near the boardwalk adjoining Pumicestone Passage looking across to Golden Beach....

Geez, it's hard not to like living in this part of the country when everywhere else is shivering their butts off.

I should point out that these shots, along with my build diary, give a very flattering picture of the weather in York, it's generally a lot greyer and a lot wetter.
There's the remains of a tower, in the same gardens as that last shot, that got a base that's pre-roman. Does tend to blow the minds of some of our tourists from newer countries. :)

I fondly remember sitting in London for the first time, supping a pint with mates, in an inn whose building was as old the settled history of both of the countries I call home. Apparently it is referenced in the first map of Southwark circa 1543.
And to think NSW was planning to bulldoze and rebuild the SFS because it's 30 years old!
