Thanks heaps Wokks. I must say I was a bit shocked to see that angle on the fretboard as I didn't notice it when the plastic nut was on. Mind you I didn't take much notice as I always knew that thing was going to be whacked off.Quote:

headstock decals look cool Andy, I've never had a back HS decal I think it's a great idea.
Good thing you did notice the angled nut/fingerboard now before you were assembling the axe
maybe the factory has wet Friday afternoons is why there has been a few blunders of late
I thought of another option a 2mm thick piece of bone to shim the nut may blend better than trying to blend the rosewood
That could be a good fix, I've dispatched an email to DB as I had to talk to him about a custom colour for my TLA-1R anyways. He may be able to help.
On further good news my micromesh pads turned up today as well!!! ;)
good stuff Andy. Those micro mesh pads you will love. Go through all the grits, as long as you built up enough clear coats.
I think the bone shim might look better than a non matching piece of rosewood. You could glue the shim in place, let it dry, then glue the bone nut once you have set the height etc
