Because you need a flat bottomed hole so as not to bust through the other side as well as keep the magnets seated properly you can only go so far with a pointed drill bit. Nah I've got some of those. All good for drilling the body where you've got plenty of meat under the bottom of the hole but trying to make a hole for a 3 mm magnet in a 5mm control plate, the lead point in the bit would pierce right through. I like the router bit idea but I haven't got one the right diameter.Quote:
