Love that natural look.
Love that natural look.
BSB that really is lovely, not a fan of the Tele/Broadcaster style per se, but a big fan of natural woodgrain. Lovely job, well done!
My fav guitar is the tele, you have done a great job.
Hi, I'm building a similar guitar, I would like to know did you apply anything to the fretboard? Oil, stain, clear??? Or did you leave it natural?
Cheers!
Here Stratto ,
I applied two very thin coats of Tru-Oil and that is all.....
As i am playing it, it is starting to colour and darken on the grain boundaries of the fretboard with looks spectacular....Attachment 9973Attachment 9974
Hi Stratto, I prefer not to put any clear over the fingerboard. Order some Dingowax or get some orange oil or Dr Ducks axe wax.
Tru oil will wear off pretty quickly the more the axe is played
Maybe he's after a shortcut to this effect....

I have used pure (sweet?) almond oil for maple fretboard. You can get cheap from a whole food /vitamin shop/ chemist. Cheap as chips
