Hoo, ok.
So I've been knockin' away at the clear over the last couple of days. Levelling it out and all. Got that done tonight, and just got it polished up

Headstock is done too, but no picture because I forgot and I'm a bit worn out and can't be bothered at this moment :) But anyway, I'm happy with how it's turned out
I might start getting the electronics wired up tonight. I'll see. But yea, should be done over the next couple of days!!

Outstanding.
I did a guitar and used masking and airbrushing, but it was not nearly as intricate as this - this is inspiring me to give something similar a go for the 7 String Im thinking of next. Not sure what sort of art though, but definitely a similar technique.
Great work man - super impressed with that technique.

Well it's together now, and to be honest I'm not happy with it.

Electronics need to be looked at as I'm getting no output, and I need to file the nut down, as well as the usual set-up stuff, but that's the last thing to do naturally. Oh and I need to find one of the neck ferrules, which has gone walkabouts in my garage, just got 3 bolts in at the moment.
But it's the clear coat that's made me really unhappy. It peels back and chips off very easily, and hasn't really stuck to the coloured coats much at all. I've got little chips off everywhere that I've had to deal with the edges: The bridge post holes, pot holes, pickup cavity, back electrics cavity, neck screw holes. Plus there's at least one other spot where it got bumped (not even particularly hard) somewhere along the line and left a good mark. None of them are really massive, but nonetheless I'm very unhappy with the results. And honestly I'm not sure I have the motivation to properly fix it all.

Understand your pain and frustration. Take a break for a while and maybe come back to it when you are in the right headspace.

Hi B'Lark, everyone comes across things they aren't happy with the build. Sounds like the clear coat wasn't compatible or not cured fully if it's peeling off.
As Waz suggested take a break and come back to it to fix the problems. You may need to sand the finish back and start again.
I'd suggest order another kit and try a stain less can go wrong than solid paint with multiple colours
