OK here it is... my first build, the LP-1M. Tryed my hand at doing a sort of blue burst on the top of the guitar with a nice mahogany dye on the back. Used Minwax timber dyes for both the blue and mahogany colour. Finished off the guitar with a good 15 coats of Tru-oil. Finish came up so well I didn't bother with cut and polish.

nice one Dave, keeping the Gibbo month happening. Looks Like Gav's tele still the only non Gibbo entry !
For a first build you got to he happy with it. Is it all stock hardware ? Hows it play and sound ?

Killer flame job, nice one.

Looks amazing Dave, great job man. That flame maple top is really nice, and you've done a really great job popping the figure! The hardware suits the blue colour perfectly.
cheers,
Gav.

hey I'm Ben from Melbourne I'm 14 and this was my FVB-4 kit that was my first build. I Was worried about how difficult it would be but there was great videos online that really helped. it turned out really well and was great quality and was a great alternative to buying a bass from the music store and I'm looking forward to the next build. hope i can be considered for guitar of the month.
