Gee Woks, that does look nice.
The only problem with a traditional Strat is that the Pickguard takes up half of the front of the body. Not a problem when they are painted but with grain feature like that its almost a crime to hide it.

yes agreed Rob, but as previous photos show with the red pickguard there's enough nice grain on these bodies that's visible.
Finally dusted off the ash strat and applied the 3rd base coat. Next coat will be gold or silver highlights then onto the top gloss coats

got 5th coat of gloss on, could be the final coat but will probably do a 6th coat then curing time and bolt together

That grain has come out sexy as wokka
Ended up bolting it together today happy with results.
