Stage one complete...
Now for a few areas that need to have some back fill applied.
But that can wait until I have finished my therapy.
If anyone needs me, I will be in Sunny Gardens home for Luthiers that have driven themselves mad :)

Mountain Goat Hightail Ale therapy seems to be helping me
looking great DB, I have put my vote in for the colour
think Tony has the answer for after that tedious binding job
I voted as well
hey DB don't forget to route your pickup cavities before you sand much more.
Presume you will measure them up when they arrive in the snail 'express' mail from Tony
Had to vote white to keep with the checker theme.
Just drink it Doc! dont worry about the rest
Never heard of Diluted and high-proof Liquor
Unfortunately Absinthe has other (herbal) things in it that will send you mad if you don't treat it right or if you over-indulge. It was the LSD of the late 19th Century.
Actually, the supposed psychoactive ingredient in Absinthe, Wormwood, wasn't what supposedly caused madness in those who drank it, in the late 19th Century, there were some dubious brewers who added poisonous substances during the brewing process to get the green colour typical of Absinthe, which is actually caused by Chlorophyll, real traditionally brewed Absinthe actually contains so little Wormwood that you'd probably die of alcohol poisoning before you even experienced any effects from Wormwood, after having being banned from being brewed and sold for so many years, Absinthe has since been legalized and is enjoying a Renaissance.
What a B E A S T ....
Routed for the noisy bitz (Tonerider TRJ's) and a dry assembly with Schaller bridge...
That would look nice with a single Seth Lover designed 1970s Fender HB in it, I have one in my Yamaha bass and it really does growl
Loving the neck. be interested to see it lit up and how you did it.
Just had a quick play in GIMP, bit rough but... solid and slightly trans for each colour (just 'cos):

Nice one Weirdy, my vote is for "Butterscotch".
Edit: I mean TV Yellow.
Nice one Weirdy :)
So far the Sea Foam is in front on the poll..
Lunch time fun...
Rout for battery and mark out modified neck heel..
To answer the question about how I fitted the optic fibre.
First, cut a few strips of the desired timber slightly wider than needed then run through drum sander until it is .2mm thicker than required.
Chop chunks off that correspond to fret spacings and drill hole to accept fibre.
Glue each chunk individually, installing fibre in as you go. This can be fun as you end up with a mess of fibres that need controlling :p masking tape is your friend here.
You will need to bore a hole into the heel, and another out the end of the heel to allow for the LED and fibres to connect.
I back filled he large hole with my all time fave, epoxy resin....
Now back to work.
Modified neck heel done..
nice one DB this is shaping up to be a ripper build. Will you stop the tele napper nicking this one ?
Is Seafoam green the colour ?
Cheers Woks.
Adam probably wont want it as it has Collingwood binding and neck mods :p
Seafoam is ahead in the votes so far..
What is this obsession folks have with sea foam green? If I saw sea foam that colour I'd be truly frightened about what was causing it.
You forgot Conch Girl...
Victory for the Ocean Mucus... I thought the results would be far closer.
I voted for the greenie :D
Will it be a stain?
Pest you are alive !
think it will be a seafoam green stain, a new Dingotone colour DB has been working on
But i like Daphne Blue :p
Ocean mucus.... I nearly spat my beer out just then :D
Might have to call it monsatan ocean mucus.......
Dont worry Tony, I will mix a Daphne Blue especially for you mate.
Second coat of Ocean Mucus....ooops... Sea Foam Green.
I must admit I was a bit meh about the first coat, it looked washed out but happy to see the second coat has deepened the colour.
Thinking another two coats should do the trick.
looking good DB, I reckon it would be a cool experiment to put 3 J style pups in and put a 5 way switch in.
There's about 1.5km between bridge and neck pup cavities ! What bridge is going on this again DB ?
You are only 50 posts off 4000 posts DB ! You must be the second highest PBG poster, think you are higher than Stan and Gavmiester seems to have fallen off the earth
Going to drop a Schaller bridge onboard.
The pickups are placed on the octaves, just another experiment to see if it has any bearing on the sound.
