I love that colour.
@ Wokka, Gav, kenfu, fretworn and Rabbitz: Thanks for the kind words gents. I'm very happy with how it's turning out and can't wait to assemble it! And Kenfu if you're keen to get a tabletop router it's far easier/cheaper than I thought it would be. This setup including the router and heaps of router bits only cost me $110 secondhand and it works great. May have been a bit of a bargain though..
@ Pablo: I haven't yet got the tonerider pups so not 100% sure if it is necessary but I have read somewhere on these forums that they need a larger route for the bridge pup and the bridge I bought requires a bigger route anyway. I also found that moving the route further north will give me more flexibility when it comes to intonation.
Looks great crundes, awesome finish

Thanks Andrew :-)
Yeah I think that's the smart way to go about it Pabs. I am just inpatient and looking for things to do on the guitar while I wait for my vintage plus pickups to arrive at PBG headquarters. I figure there's no harm in enlarging the routes as long as the bridge still covers the area though.
Well it's been a long time coming but I've finally got around to finishing off my tele. I had a bit of a balls up with my rosewood fretboard when filing the frets and ended up taking wayyyy too much off to the point that it needs a refret. I left the project there for a long time and then just decided to use the maple neck from my other kit.
So here it is, with tone rider vintage plus pickups and CTS pots.
Very happy with how it turned out!
Sound test coming soon.
Wow! I think I'm in love with your guitar. Make sure you enter it in GotM.
awesome axe Tim, doesn't matter how long it took been worth the wait. I think the maple fingerboard suits better anyway. There is some sick grain on the fingerboard. Great effort. As Fretty says better enter in GOTM
That fretboard is lovely - and so is everything else :)
Very, very nice indeed!
Tim thats a stunning guitar. What did you use on the maple fretboard?
Great work man, top notch.
That's a beautiful tele. Very nice work.
That is a cracker of a Tele, well done!
I usually don't like double bound Tele's (or single bound, for that matter).
I tell you what, that axe has me doubting my opinion on binding.
One sweet job - Well Done.
If I were a tele-napper, I'd nap that one! Nice work!
Big fan of double bound guitars and an even bigger fan of yours, great looking guitar.
Thanks for your kind words everyone! I might have to make a decal for the headstock if I enter it into GOTM I kinda just like the plain look though and the grain on the headstock is quite nice.
@Andy40 - I ended up using nitro on the neck, which turned out beautifully. Feels very nice to play as well.
