the blue and wood tones go so well together, nice job
Looking amazing Tony. The neck and body colours are perfect for the blue top.
cheers,
Gav.
Drilled the holes to fit the tailpiece, after procrastinating on it for a week or two and starting to fit pickups and wire.
Got my TRC for the head stock and fitted one of my new nameplates. (Awesome work Pabs)
Oh yes. That looks ace. Tidy work, Tony.
Stunning work as per usual, some sweet little touches there man. How cool's that back plate!
love the back plate idea, nice work
Wow that is WICKED!!!
Very, very nice, love it.
That's a really nice blue tone vh.
Maybe i'll do a burst as well for the LP I'm working on next.
Today got in and finished the wiring and leveled and polished the frets. Ready to be finished off finally
Strung up, intonated and setup. Couple of little blemishes to fix but no biggie. Quick plug in and sounds pretty good.
Upgrades:
Gotoh TOM bridge and Gotoh locking tuners
Tonerider Rocksong Pickups
Skull tailstop
Orange drop tone cap and volume mod
CTS pots
Looks awesome vh! Nice flame you've got going there.
Nice... Beatuful job there!
Hi Tony watching a guy work with Veneers recently he used titebond mixed with distiller water 50/50 so it was a slower dryng process.
But he swears by it . Hope it helps best wishes

stunning build Tony well done. Did you glue flame maple veneer on the headstock ?
Love the upgrades and that plate on the back is a really nice touch
Thanks Guys, Woks yeah glued headstock veneer.
Has a slight wiring issue at the moment the neck pickup seems to have half the volume of bridge and sounds uggh. Once thats sorted will be finito. Surprised how good the rocksongs (bridge) sound.
nice one Tony. Yeah the rocksongs sound punchy as. My bridge pup measures almost 11.8k ohms.
Check your wiring connections Tony, only takes one wire strand to short on another or the shielding
So been mucking with this for over a week now and after two rewires maybe the neck pickup. Pulled the pickup out and split the coils at the lead . one coil 4kohm the other dead short( spec'd 7.9k total) using a fluke. Weirdly everytime I tested the guitar was using gain channel and neck position was emitting about half volume and tinny but today tried on clean and nothing, back to gain tinny half volume. Perplexed to say the least. Was almost an entry for SGOTM last night. Thinking might need a new pickup?
It's a TR Rocksong in the neck as well? So, one coil is giving you 4K and the other seems faulty. When you say the coil is 'dead short' is it shorting itself (no resistance) or dead (no conductivity at all)?
Hi Scott , Yes is a TR rocksong, coil has a circuit but no resistance 0 ohms on 200ohm scale. So it had a circuit through both coils at a total of 4K . Would it have been like a low resistance single coil ?
The only mod from standard wiring is fidelity upgrade.
